ACHIEVEMENTS
January 8th, 2026 —
We collaborated with the Texas Drivers' License Committee to integrate comprehensive wildlife safety content into the official Texas Driver Handbook: a resource used by hundreds of thousands of new drivers across the state each year. This collaboration represents a huge step forward in making wildlife awareness a foundational component of driver education in Texas.
The revised handbook (published on January 29, 2026) now explains what a typical wildlife sign means and provides guidance on how drivers should respond when they see it. This marks the first time Texas has formally incorporated wildlife-related safety guidance into its official driver education materials. By embedding this knowledge into the state's primary driver education resource, we're ensuring that hundreds of thousands of new drivers each year enter the road with awareness of wildlife hazards and understanding of how to respond when they encounter them.
